Suspect wanted in stabbing

Iowa City police are searching for information on a recent alleged stabbing that occurred in Iowa City. The victims were two Iowa City individuals who were reportedly stabbed on the street by an unknown attacker. 


Two people claimed to have been stabbed by someone a little after 2 a.m. the morning of Sunday, April 28. Police reports state that there was an altercation and the victims were two men. No other information about the altercation has been released. 

According to an article on kcrg.com, an alert was sent across the University of Iowa to all students warning them of the incident. 

The alleged incident happened near the Dubuque Street where it intersects with Washington in Iowa City. This is fairly close to the University of Iowa campus. 

The assailant is reported to be an Asian man wearing a red USA Jersey. He reportedly fled the scene and was last viewed running from the intersection. No other information was known. 

The individuals are both recovering from their injuries at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Neither received life threatening injuries from the stabbing. Their identities have not been released as of yet. 

The attackers has not been located, and police are searching for any information about the incident.
