Gates and Zuckerberg Get Kids to Code

Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg join the train of celebrities that encourages kids to be interested in basic programming.  

Celebrities appear to be using their popularity in various fields to promote Code.org, a new nonprofit foundation that seeks to promote basic programming education; founded by brothers, Hadi and Ali Partovi, their vision is that every learner should have the chance to code. 

The foundation is designed for schools who wish to have their students learn the basics of computer programming; in line with this, Code.org offers online coding tools and courses for individuals who would like to learn on their own. 

Gates and Zuckerberg join a long list of celebrities from various fields such as Will.i.am and Twitter creator Jack Dorsey in a promotional video to promote the cause of Code.org wherein the celebrities who stars in it repeatedly points out that one doesn’t have to be a genius to code a program. 

The purpose of the video is also to encourage the younger generation to get into the basics of coding in hope that one day they’d be able to improve their newfound skill and use it for the development and betterment of their selves and their communities.
