Superbowl Ads Fell Short This Year

According to this year's football fans and many viewers of the Superbowl, the ads were a bit of a disappointment this year.

Every year, one of the most anticipated factors of the Superbowl, probably as equally anticipated as the game itself or the halftime show, are the commercials. People look forward to what are some of the most exciting aspects of the game all year.

It is an honor for a business to be able to get a spot advertising in one of the commercial breaks during the Superbowl, and companies don't take this lightly. They make the year's best commercials to put in these prestigious spots.

How prestigious are we talking? Every year, millions of dollars are spent to get just 30 seconds or so in a commercial break. Each year, the amount of money that companies spend on advertisements for increases.

Many of the usual companies featured in the Superbowl commercials appeared this year including Dorito's and GoDaddy.com.

While it is usually a favorite, GoDaddy.com fell short this year. Overall, it was deemed very unappealing, a harsh contrast from the well-known super-sexy commercial scenes. The Doritos ad, which usually draws a lot of attention, seemed to fall shorter this year than usual.

The M&M's commercial was a popular one. It featured a Meatloaf song and was very amusing. Surprisingly, pistachios did not fail to be memorable, either, with a cute rendition of the wildly popular Gangham Style.

Overall, though, many of the commercials were thought to be less interesting than last year by the viewers.
