Facebook Adds an Old MySpace Feature

Facebook is trying out another new feature, but this time it is familiar than ever and would send people into a stream of nostalgia as Facebook adds a “mood” option similar to the one MySpace had.

The new old feature allows users to add a specific mood and emoticon that complements their status prior posting them. Users will be able to select from various categories to share their current emotion and activity to their friends, whether they’re sad, mad, watching, reading or eating.

This new option does not appear to everyone’s account just yet as Facebook is still testing this new option with just some users, although we will definitely be seeing this in our accounts very soon.

TechCrunch stated that it is "a new way for people to visually represent what they're doing and how they're feeling through their Facebook posts. It will only be available to small set of people. This isn't integrated into Graph Search. It's just a small test to see if people are interested in sharing their actions in a more visual way."

We’ve yet to hear about user's comments regarding this new mood and activity update that was obviously been based from MySpace, we’ll be doing an update regarding this once Facebook made it available for everyone.
