Blaze Destroys Dental Lab

A massive fire ripped through Iowa City last night, Tuesday, January 23. The cause is being investigated. It is currently unknown, but investigations continue.

According to kcrg.com, a fire broke out some time before 8 p.m. Tuesday night. It started at Dental Lab, Inc. Fire squads reported to the incident at about 8 p.m.

The fire turned out to be one of the worst fires that has happened in years. It was difficult to put out, according to the Fire Marshall. They spent over an hour and a half attempting to put out the fire. A bus was brought so that the firefighters could break and get water during the time they were spending putting out the fire.

There is extensive damage from the fire. The dental lab was completely destroyed to the extent that the owner is aware that he will have to relocate.

The blaze enveloped the business and destroyed it completely, but did not start there, according to the indications.

According to the fire reports, the blaze started in the apartments attached to the building. The reports state that it was started by a kitchen fire, which was the original statement given by an unidentified third party.

The investigations to figure out the truth of this have been ongoing. They will not be easy, though, because of the extensive damage. The Fire Marshall is still confident that the cause of the blaze will be discovered.

Two individuals were in the apartment where the fire broke out and both of them made it out without harm.
