New Information Emerges About iOS7 And iPhone6

Evidence relating to Apple's next generation iPhone and new operating system have recently come to light. With the launch of the iPhone 5 a few months ago, it is no surprise that Apple has already commenced work on the iPhone 6 and iOS7, which are expected for release mid next year. These new information leaks provide some hints about what Apple is working on at present.

Signs of the iOS7 and iPhone 6 have appeared on the usage logs of some iOS developers. The sources show that Apple is testing hardware that displays an iPhone6,1 identifier that runs iOS7. The developer logs showed that this was carrying out app requests from an IP address located within Apple's Cupertino campus, suggesting Apple was testing the compatibility of current apps available at its App Store.

As well as this bit of information from user logs, sources have also revealed that Apple is set to finalize the features of iOS7 soon.

These recent findings about the new iOS7 have a precedent with developers discovering traces of the iOS6 last year in May. This was soon followed by the iOS6 being unveiled at the its yearly WWDC event in June. If there is a similar pattern for iOS7, the full details of the new operating system can be anticipated at the conference this summer.

However, there is the possibility that iOS and device information like this can be faked. There has been no official word from Apple and the sources of this information are potentially unreliable. But The Next Web, who were the ones to receive the leaked details, believe that the usage logs are legitimate due to the unique IP address that links back to Apple's Cupertino campus.

These information leaks are still only whispers, and one will have to wait and see to find out for sure what Apple will be releasing this year.
