Time for the Halloween Carnival Again

Families, gear up. Halloween is coming up, and that means that it is time for the Iowa City Parks and Recreation annual Halloween Parade and Carnival.



Every year, Iowa City holds a parade and carnival for Halloween. This year, the parade and carnival will be held this evening.

Children in costume who want to walk in the parade should meet at the Weatherdance Fountain in downtown Iowa City between 6:00 and 6:15 p.m with their chaperones.

The parade is scheduled to begin at this point and travel east through downtown Iowa City. The parade will go from the fountain down College Street to the site of the carnival, which will be at The Robert A. Lee Community Recreation Center.

At the carnival, there are many different activities set up for children to enjoy. These include crafts, cookie decorating, and a variety of different Hallowen-themed games for children of all ages.

There are also treats that will be given out, so make sure to bring a bag for these treats. The Haunted Hallway is a popular attraction for the children as well. children can enjoy this fun haunted house-style hallway for a thrill.

Children of all ages are invited to the parade and carnival event. There is no fee to attend. You can just bring your children to the event. All children should be accompanied by an adult or chaperone.

The parade is weather permitting, but the carnival will still be held inside the Recreation Center whether it rains or shines tonight.
