Search for Iowa Girls Continues

The search for the two young cousins that disappeared in July is still going on. The FBI still holds that the girls are alive.



According to kwwl.com, state and local investigators are still searching for any information regarding the disappearance of Elizabeth Collins and Lyric Cook, who have been missing since July 13.

It has been 97 days since the girls disappeared while going on a bike ride in Evansdale. Their bikes and some personal items were found near a lake outside of Evansdale.

The authorities are going back over neighborhoods searching for any more information on the girls, believing that they are still alive. Several vehicles and a helicopter were on the move tonight searching again. They were conducting a search and contacting residents once again.

This activity drew quit a bit of attention, and the Black Hawk County Sheriff's Department answered calls and emails regarding the activity, confirming that it had to do with the missing girls. It was also stated that there are no new developments in the case.

Authorities still have a desire to talk to any residents that they may have missed about the disappearance in case anyone has information that can help them locate the two girls.
