An Iowa City was arrested and charged with public intoxication and providing the police with false information while she was kissing a man in Iowa City this past Saturday night.
18-year-old Bethany Doolittle was approached Saturday night on a public sidewalk by police and asked for her identification while she was kissing a man and lying on the sidewalk. Police said that her speech was slurred and she was having trouble forming sentences to communicate with them.
According to the Sun Times website, Doolittle claimed she did not have her identification on her person and gave the police an incorrect name of Stephanie Johnson and a false birthdate, which police discovered was invalid.
After a while, she became afraid and admitted to giving the police a false name out of fear of being arrested. She gave her real identification to police and was arrested.
Doolittle was given a sobriety test and was her blood alcohol content was discovered to be 0.155. She was arrested on charges of public intoxication and providing the police with false information after she admitted to the fake name.
She has posted $600 bond and has decided to plead not guilty to both charges. An attorney for Doolittle is not listed as of yet.

The coach, Lisa Bluder, refused to comment on the incident, according to Aaron Blau, the team's spokesman. The name of the man involved has not been released.
